The Office of Compline for March 5, 2017

The First Sunday in Lent

NOTE: During the season of Lent, on a trial basis, the Compline Choir is using a slightly re-ordered version of the office of Compline. This version places the Confession and Absolution of Sin nearer the beginning of the service and switches the placement of the Psalm and Office Hymn. This is not a permanent change and the Compline Choir will re-evaluate use of the version after Lent.

PSALM 32 – Peter R. Hallock (1924-2014)

NUNC DIMITTIS: Plainsong setting, Tone V.1

The compline servicers have been such a blessing to me. I love the music of Hallock and the readings and want to thanl the choir and its director for the hard work which must touch the lives of many people around the world. I find it helps me to centre on Christ and treminds me of the value of scripture in prayer and worship.
May the Lord Bless you as you continue to serve HIm and othes in this way.
